FINAL

Finally, here is my final advertising poster! I really like how it has all came together. It gives the feeling of her excitement that she is going away on vacation. I enjoyed making this advertising poster for the word twirl.

progress of artwork...

getting the idea of how I want the girl to look while twirling. Seeing how the red will look. Enjoying it so far!

Deciding on how I want the girl to look. But here is the progress so far of it... Like the image I used for inspiration, I will have the girl starting at the dress, no legs showing. I'm trying to get the feel of the word twirl. I will be adding more effects to make it all come together.

WEEK 3 - TWIRL

So.. another week has come around and this word for the week is "twirl".
I chose to do this image by Tod Draz. This image is simple but at the same time says a lot. I really like the colour contour he has chosen to do. That's what inspired me, so I will be doing my final like this as well. I love how it is just one colour and it really makes the artwork stand out.

FINAL FOR WEEK 2

Here is my final! I really like how this ad turned out. It makes me laugh! Hope you guys enjoy it! :)

WEEK 2 - Prepare

Hey guys, its time for the new word of the week on illustrationfriday.com, which is "prepare".
I have decided when putting my theme travel and the word prepare together that I come up with making an advertisement ad for Imodium. I think that it works well with my travel idea. I chose to do this because there is nothing worse than that feeling and knowing your not prepared.
I've decided to use this image by Al Parker for my inspiration. I feel like the layout is perfect for what I want to do and works well with them the whole travel theme!
I hope you guys like what I come up with.
Stay tuned for thumbnails and my final!

FINAL ARTWORK

MY FINAL POSTER ARTWORK!

Hey guys. I finally finished my final artwork! I really enjoy the overall feel to it and feel it turned out better than I imagined it in my head.
So, I decided to make an advertising poster for travel. This image is two people sitting on a beach, enjoying their time together. Family makes you grounded and what's better than being on vacation with your family!

Hope you guys enjoy it!
Can't wait to do next week's challenge!

Lauren :)

IWD - THUMBNAILS

Here are my thumbnails for my International Women's day poster. I decided to use the layout of the artwork I chose that inspired me and change it into a mom (inspired by my mom), and make her a superhero. I feel like mothers should be really noticed on this day because to us (kids) they can take on the world. My mom is a big inspiration to me. She is the strongest woman I know and I look up to her more than anyone in this world. All mother's are inspirations to their children, and they should be noticed for all the amazing things they do!
IMAGE OF INSPIRATION:

Here is the image I chose that inspired me. This artwork is created by Al Parker. I just love the overall design and concept of this image. Every time I look at it I see a mother that can do all things! She looks like a wonder woman! It reminds me of my mom. She inspired me more than anyone in this world.

THUMBNAILS

- I had a hard time thinking of what I could do for this week's word (Grounded)... After trying to figure out what I enjoy and than cooperate the two things together, this is what I came up with...

-First off, I chose to do a travel theme.
Here are my thumbnails...The images here show two people sitting on a beach, enjoy the beautiful weather and just staring out into the ocean. I felt this worked for the word grounded because they are just sitting there in a beautiful place, enjoying life, without a worry in the world. They feel grounded being together.

Image of Inspiration

IMAGE OF INSPIRATION:
I chose this piece of art from Al Parker because I love the colour scheme! I really enjoy the black and white tones, along with a little bit of colour. I will be using this colour scheme for my final artwork. Its very eye-catching and I think it will work great for my final!

WELCOME

Hi all, I just want to welcome all of you to my blog. This is my first time blogging and I never thought I would do this. I am very excited to share with all of you my ideas and final artwork. I am starting a 14 week challenge! I'll start by finding a picture from an artist that inspires me, where I will take that image and make it my own into something I enjoy. The image I create will be designed from the word of the week from www.illustrationfriday.com.  I will be blogging my ideas and finals every week!

Stay tune for my first week of inspiration! :)
